Open Ukraine Cup 3rd Leg Khmelnitsky

In Khmelnitsky's Billiard Sport Centre last weekend was held the 3rd leg of the Open Ukrainian Snooker Cup series.

In ladies semi finals Khmelnitsky's Tatyana Martiniouk met Julia Yevseyenko (Dnepripetrovsk) and Maria Buzharskaya (Kiev) played against Julia Sokolan (Khmelnitsky).

Maria kept drawing attention when she reached 1st leg's final in february. In Khmelnitsky again she was on good mood - a 3-0 vs Julia Sokolan sent her to the final.
After Tatyana Martiniuk in 2nd semi gained the 1-0 lead, Julia Yevseyenko levelled to 1-1. Then Tatyana took the initiative and won the next two frames.

So the same final draw as in 1st leg final. In february Tatyana defeated Maria 3-2, but this time the lady from Kiev came out on top. At the end she beat the 2006 cup winner 3-0.

In men's semis it came to the clash of Kiev and Latvia:
Denis Vashzhuk (Kiev) vs Janis Bindze (Latvia) and Sergey Isayenko (Kiev) vs Vladimir Synitsyn (Latvia).
At first leg Vashzhuk beared the palm, Isayenko took the third place. At second leg the title went to Janis Bindze, Vashzhuk lost his semi against Yevgenij Talov.

In first match Vashzhuk took the first frame and Bindze the second. Then Vashzhuk with a 46:45 again gained the lead, but the Latvian with the next two won frames took a final spot again.

In second semi Synitsyn with 58:38 could win the first frame. The second with 53:33 went to Isayenko. Frame 3 was decided on black - Synitsyn again took the lead. After Isayenko took the fourth frame, he run out the match with a 71:19 in frame 5.

The final then became a hot battle between Kiev and Latvia. Isayenko gained the lead, Bindze then levelled to 1-1. After long fight also frame 3 went to the Latvian (78:57). But Isayenko came back with 66:34, so frame four went to his account. The decider became a clearly matter in Bindze's favour. At the end the score board kept 58:17.
