NEW RUSSIAN 9-BALL TOP LEAGUE ANNOUNCED

Russian TV channel throws together excellent Pool players from former CIS for "NTV+ Cup".
According to Russian media, on March 28 will be started an all new Pool format in Eastern Europe which was long awaited - the clash of the former CIS' strongest 9-Ball players, broadcasted on channel 'NTV+'.
6 players will compete against each other, every match race to 9. Each friday at 10 o'clock p.m. Moscow time will run 1 match.
After the round robin stages will be held the semis on June 13 and 20. The final is planned for June 27.
Reportedly all matches will be broadcasted live on TV, in co-operation with a bookmakers office.
It is planned to renew the line up every half year.
The first relay:
Konstantin Stepanov (Russia) - two times Euro Tour runner up, several podium positions at Euro Championships
Ruslan Tzhinakov (Russia) - 4 times European Pupil Champion 2006 & 2007
Artem Koshevoy (Ukraine) - 3rd place World Junior 9-Ball Championships 2005, 5 medals Euro Pupil & Junior Championships
Sergeyi Nikitin (Russia) - several podium positions at Russian Championships, Cups and Masters
Lev Koslov (Belarus)
Dmitryi Tzhupov (Belarus)
On March 28 Stepanov and Koshevoy will meet for the first match.
Prize money purse hasn't been specified so far.
